First of Gus247 your a legend, removed my headlight cover and hey presto..

NO MIST!

Secondly I attempted to fit my new carbon fibre style BMW badge to the bonnet as the old one was toast. However It didnt fit very well, it was really loose and could be just pulled out! I tryed wrapping a bit of type around the prongs and now it stays in but it doesnt fit very well!
See..

It is pretty though

Any suggestions?

very nice car mate.

bonnet badge unless some muppets siliconed it on carefully take a thin cloth and place two very this flat bladed at 12 and 6 o clock and then take a take a third screwdriver and carefully lift up as your other two should be lifting the badge up by now and lift up carefully and it should pop up and leave the two bonnet rubber grommets in the bonnet should stay there but dont be surprised if they break or fly off.the cloth is too stop your bodywork getting scratched and i usually wrap it rould both screwdrivers to stop this.as far as i know all badges regardless of shape are the same a long as the correct size.

I think that most come with double side tape on the back but if yours hasn't, a few strategically placed number plate sticky pads should do the trick

Edit: You'll obviously have to chop them a bit ;)

Good thread - I'm another Avus fan. Credit to you for the patience to shop around when you got it. You say the wheels are knackered? They look pretty decent in the pics?

Thanks for the comment!
The wheels arent too bad really, the lacquer is peeling off them and to me its such a straight and clean shell that its really obvious, just spoils it a bit. Think im being picky tbh!

Thanks for the pic mate that'll help no end! Does it say the voltage on it anywhere?
