SWIRL FLAPS!

Post by willcaulkin » 17 Oct 2015, 12:11

Hi All

Sorry but I am after advise again! How can I tell if the swirl flaps have been done on my 2005 e60 535d? I have noticed that the DPF had been removed and cleaned on a recent service but no mention of swirl flap.
I am not the most mechanically minded so please treat me with 'kid gloves'.
:d
I really appreciate your help!

Thanks

Without a reliable invoice/receipt from the person who did them - you can't. It's only by looking/seeing what is in place and they're readily accessible.

Would I be able to look to myself?

Yes - but it depends on your (self-declared!) degree of mechanically mindedness - quite a significant degree of dismantling needed...........
