Mods for 17 year-olds?

Post by M60NJP » 27 Mar 2018, 12:16

I'm my time I've probably tried (and runied) many things - but don't remember a fad of drilling holes in the airbox?

Anyone brave enough to admit they have/still do??!!

Yep
I've done the air box mod in the past
Only something you do with motorbikes
Drill loads of holes and after a couple of months you then remove it altogether and fit some cheap K&N type thing instead

And when you get your first car ( mini in my case) you skip the hole drilling and just bin the air filter
Why I here you ask
Because it sounds faster so therefore it must be faster :d

No performance gain and it generally makes it run crap "but at 17 you know best" 8-}
Life's to short to be driving boring cars
It's all about the old school

we've got a dilled airbox on the TT - according to many reliable sources, this frees the flow to the intake up a LOT increasing performance.... However, after the weekends water-based tragedy with my car, I'm probably going to go back to standard... :(
