E46 330 sticking caliper/warped discs

Post by Scriv » 05 Feb 2017, 10:20

Morning all!

As the title says my o/s front caliper and n/s rear caliper are sticking at the moment in the cold and it's warped the discs making it unbearable to drive due to juddering!! I'm going to order new discs/pads this week but was wondering if I could save my calipers? Can I clean them and grease the piston to help rather than replacing both calipers? Front caliper is worse and I can feel it in the cars movement and my fuel bill!! :(

Thanks again..

Get yourself a kit & you should be ok with new discs.

As above, buy maybe first inspect what you have currently - both the pistons and the guide pins - sometimes a good de-rust, clean and grease cures the problem.
