Bluetooth not working

Post by Jonnop » 02 Aug 2017, 14:48

Hi, I've just bought a 2013 BMW 116d SE and there's a problem with the bluetooth connection. When I click on the Telephone option the screen displays a "please wait" message and that message doesn't clear. When I click one the next page the bluetooth option is "greyed out". I've spoken to the dealer who has made a sale and doesn't give a s**t. I've looked on the internet and seen that there are issues with BMW bluetooth connectivity. I assume that bluetooth hands-free is standard on this car and it is faulty or am I wrong? Any help appreciated.

I don't believe it's standard and may need to be activated. If the selling dealer represented it with Bluetooth then they need to fix it. If not, a good independent can activate it for a fee - but only if it's installed of course. If it isn't there the a Parrot or equivalent might be a better option cost-wise.
