OBD2 reader & reset

Post by Chalks13 » 06 May 2018, 16:32

Hi guys, I’ve been searching and seem to be narrowing the search

However, has anyone got experience or advice on a decent obd2 Bluetooth adapter and iOS app that works on R50 & R56 models and can reset EML and airbag lights please?

I “think” any EML327 works on my R50 but the R56 may need a canbus reader?

I have a generic ELM327 chipset Bluetooth OBD reader, bought it a while back as they were HUKD on offer at Amazon.

Could not get it to pair with my iPhone 6, read up since that generic units are not likely to work unless the phone is jail broken.

hello bud - I've got the Carly adaptor and software... works on R52's and R56's.... I haven't done an airbag reset on a Mini with it, but it certainly has coded other functions on Mini's (double flash hazards etc.) and it has certainly cleared airbag faults on other BM's so I can't see why it wouldn't work... :)

See you're not toooo far from me, you're welcome over and for a small consideration, I'd have a go at clearing the code down for you, or at least find out what is causing it.
